Contract Administration and Quality Assurance Observation

According to the Construction Specifications Institute, Construction Contract Administration (CA) is the summation of “the activities necessary to effect and determine the fulfillment of the contract requirements by the contractor and the owner.” This includes reviewing and approving submittals, leading meetings, reviewing payment applications, inspecting the work, coordinating the project closeout and more.

Quality Assurance Observation (QAO) is the process of observing the work by a competent third party to determine if the quality standards for the project are being met. QAO can be provided on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the unique nature of the project. When combined, CA and QAO provide the Owner with confidence that the contract requirements are being met and the project will be successful.

RJH’s team includes Certified Construction Contract Administrators (CCCA), Registered Roof Observers (RRO), and Registered Exterior Wall Observers (REWO).  RJH’s team is highly qualified to perform CCA and QAO on new construction projects and restoration projects on existing buildings.
